Baby Emma Blog

In keeping with a promise to myself, I’ve decided that the only way to keep an account of the first few weeks of Emma’s birth is to blog it with daily discourse and late night meanderings!

Strange Adventures In Infinite Space

Emma is now trying to stay awake more and more. Or, at least, this is how I label her behaviour at the moment. Normally, when we put her down, she falls straight to sleep, only to wake for her next feed. But these last few days, she cries everytime we put her down and walk away. We go in, settle her, she closes her eyes, starts to slumber, we walk off, a minute or two later...she cries. This activity can take from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on her mood. Lill thinks Emma's more alert now, and knows when it's bed time. Whenever we try and do the Houdini wrap, she knows exactly what comes next (sleepy-bye) and out come the waterworks, Maltese style (I'm gonna pay big time for that comment!).

The twins are still raving about their birthday party, and the presents they've received. Me, I'm still plotting revenge and working out how to sabotage those damn karaoke machines! I may have to nuke them from orbit....it's the only way to be sure!!!

Well, I'm off to play some more Strange Adventures In Infinite Space on my Palm. I'm thoroughly addicted to it! Second only to Monopoly on the Palm. Damn those simple but evil little games!! [insert eye twitching motions here]. It's all Lill's fault, of course! I can't play Monopoly with her. She's a Real Estate Agent. They take the game too seriously!!!

ODD SPOT: The average person presses the snooze button on their alarm clock three times each morning.
