Baby Emma Blog

In keeping with a promise to myself, I’ve decided that the only way to keep an account of the first few weeks of Emma’s birth is to blog it with daily discourse and late night meanderings!

Filling Out

Last night was probably the last time I could comfortably bathe Emma in the bathroom basin. We do have a proper baby bathtub, but it’s such an effort to fill and empty out, and sometimes filling a clean basin with warm water and baby bubbles is just as good. Emma is no longer a tiny bubs, and she’s starting to kick and stretch out. Six weeks makes a big difference, especially when we placed Emma side by side with Drew and Chris'’ newborn, Michael.

And speaking of which, we went to see Drew and Chris' baby last night, and it was agreed by all that unfortunately bubs looks like Drew: Sorry dude, but he has these big, flappy ears, and it's a wonder how bubs made it out of the birth canal! Oh well, he should grow into them...!

ODD SPOT: Because of the rotation of the earth, an object can be thrown further if it is thrown West.
