Baby Emma Blog

In keeping with a promise to myself, I’ve decided that the only way to keep an account of the first few weeks of Emma’s birth is to blog it with daily discourse and late night meanderings!

Baptism

We all went to a baptism today, and it was a full immersion, too! That means the bubs was dunked fully from head to toe, as in olden times. I was holding Emma, and Drew and Chris were there too, with little Michael in the capsule. I leaned over to Drew and whispered, "Hey, why don't we baptize the kids while we're here. We can hold a raffle to see who'll be godparents!" And Drew replied, "Yeah, and if the priest says no, we'll hold our babies up in front of the altar and shout Oh Lord, why have you forsaken us!" Lill and Chris gave us the usual scathing looks, of course, the ones reserved only for people they know who will go to a special hell!

One of the twins, Jessica, has been wearing a yellow basket over her head this weekend. I'm not sure why. Lill says she thinks it's a helmet. Again, I'm not sure why. Luckily, we have proof in the form of pictures. Click your mouse here to take you to a gallery I've set up which show the pictures of Jessica in her "helmet", with Sarah looking on in an expression I can only defined as "baffled", along with a quick recent pic of Emma. When you're there, click on the picture on the left hand side to get a bigger picture appearing on the main screen.
